LOS ANGELES, CA (National Presse) – In Hollywood fashion, there is talks about a sequel that is already in the works for a film that just launched a little over a week ago. But movie-goers were left wondering why the main characters didn’t kiss.
Many speculate that this could be that there will be a sequel to “Twisters”… which is highly expected due to the scripture of the movie. Main characters Tyler Owens and Kate Carter we spotted in a leaked behind-the-scenes (BTS) shot actually kissing in a scene!
Carter was a storm chaser in the beginning of the film when her science experiment failed, killing most of her chase team. As the movie progresses five years later, we see that she is a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in New York. When her surviving chase partner, Javi, comes to her with an idea to get back to chasing for a short time to help his team out with new MPAR radar systems.
Reluctantly, Carter agrees to come back for a week and after several action-packed tornadoes, she learns that Javi’s team is backed by a real-estate agent preying on those who lose their uninsured homes to tornadoes. She quickly shifts gears into working with a fellow chaser who learned about her past. This would be Tyler Owens, a YouTube storm “wrangler”.
As the movie progresses, Owens works with Carter to rework her idea on how to stop a tornado. At the end, when a major tornado spawns and works it’s way into El Reno, Oklahoma – Carter deploys her experiment and stops the tornado. While preparing to fly back to New York, she is stopped by Owens and a flight delay, which let’s her run off camera to stay in Oklahoma. Thus being a sequel most likely in production right now.
A crew member filmed the kissing scene that Steven Spielberg claimed he wrote a note to remove it from the film. Spielberg was an executive producer of the film, according to the film’s IMDb page.
The films has grossed over $120-million in global revenue since it’s box office release.
