CRIMEA (National Presse) – A Russian submarine was sunk earlier today by opposing Ukraine forces.
“In the port of Sevastopol, the submarine of the Russian Black Sea fleet ‘Rostov-on-Don’ was successfully attacked,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote on Saturday in a Facebook post. “As a result of the impact, the boat sank on the spot.”
In September of 2023, Ukraine launched a missile and damaged the submarine. Today, the sub was completely destroyed and now rests underwater.
In addition to the destruction of the submarine, Ukraine also damaged four S-400 Air Defense Launchers in the Crimea area.
Yesterday, a Russian airfield was hit by what appeared to be drones. It is unclear who launched the drones.
