1996 “Twister” will be in 4DX theaters with motion seats, rain, and wind!

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (National Presse) – Regal theaters across the nation will be showing the original 1996-movie “Twister” in their 4DX platform starting on August 30, 2024.

“Twister” in 4DX will only be for 1-week!

“Twisters” came out in mid-July which set records globally for a disaster-film in terms of box office. Now, fans have been begging Regal to get the licensing to show the 1996 movie “Twister” in the same platform. The movie features the late Bill Paxton, who has been a staple in the storm chasing community since it’s premier.

Regal secured the licensing rights to transform this Blockbuster-hit into a 4DX platform. When you walk into a 4DX theater, it is immediately clear that this is no ordinary showing.

The seats are much more comfortable. Each row typically has 4 seats combined per section. There is a small button on the right armrest that says “Water On” or “Water Off”. The 4DX platform has been a hit for moviegoers!

4DX offers seats that move up and down and tilt back and forward. There is optional water jets on the seats in front of you, similar to how a windshield motor works. There are two air jets built into the back of your seat’s headrest which blast out compressed air when something is coming at you on screen.

The theater itself usually has an upper and lower level, with high-powered fans on the walls, including smoke machines at the front. The experience is one of a kind, and allows you to interact with the film.
